Charlie's Playhouse Tour

I am so happy to share these photos of Charlie's playhouse. This project is one I had envisioned even before Charlie was born and watching it come to life has truly been special! I mean, what is cuter than a mini house?! I am sharing the details of where we purchased her playhouse, as well as the accessories and furniture inside.

After receiving the kit for the house, we realized it was out of our realm of capabilities to assemble. Combine that with our lack of tools and we decided to hire a contractor to assemble it. I am so glad we did or it would probably still be a pile of wood!

The playhouse kit was purchased from Wayfair (here). We purchased the shingles separately and they are Certainteed in color driftwood (which matches our house). The exterior and interior paint of the house is Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace. The shutters are Sherwin Williams Wordly Gray, which is a shade lighter than our house siding color.

The kit came with the adorable window boxes.
We purchased the little bell from Micheal's Craft Store.
The wreath is from Hobby Lobby.

I felt like I won the lottery when I found this rug at Hobby Lobby. It was marked something like 50% off and it is the perfect size for the house. I love it! Here is a similar style (here).

This kitchen is from Wayfair. I was looking for a white kitchen, but wasn't willing to spend Pottery Barn Kids prices. This one was still kind of expensive and I am not sure how it is going to hold up in the winter, but I like that it is white. I originally wasn't a fan of the "copper" hardware, but it has grown on me. The cute pink strainer is from Homegoods. The scalloped shelves are from Target (found here).

This table (found here) and chairs (found here) are from Target, as well as the tic tac toe game (here).
I thought it would be fun to keep some cute games in the playhouse.

I found this little pillow at Hobby Lobby.
I wanted it to be a reminder to Charlie how much she is loved.

We hung these baskets on the wall as a place to store any toys or games that we will be keeping in the playhouse.

This is super random, but these two (I have come to find out) are major playhouse necessities! It is always so hot in the playhouse so we put this rechargeable fan in there. It also gets very messy from leaves and bugs sneaking into the playhouse, so I keep this dust pan and broom inside.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of Charlie's playhouse! It was a super fun project for us. I cannot wait to decorate for fall and Christmas inside this magical little house!

Toy Room Fun

Since we started redoing our toy room for Charlie, I have had design on the brain (let's be real, I always have design on the brain)! It has been super fun to create some designs and find a direction for this space. I don't want the toy room to be too girly because I don't know if we will have boys in the future, but I am always so drawn to girly things! So, I decided to make a storyboard of a toy room that isn't girly at all. I think I will be making more of these storyboards as I go along because I cannot decide on a color scheme for the toy room.
 Enjoy!

Fourth of July Recap

What a super fun weekend we had for Fourth of July. It is absolutely one of my most favorite weekends of the year and this one did not disappoint. Our summers are short here in Michigan, so I soak up every warm & sunny summer day, especially the Fourth of July. Unfortunately, we didn't get many pictures of our weekend, but I am sharing what we have. I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend, as well!

We set up one large table in the screen porch for our Fourth of July dinner.
The place settings included sparklers!

It was a hot day- perfect for the pool!

We rented a snow-cone machine, which was the best $50 I have ever spent!
Charlie's outfit is Little English Clothing from 2019.

Nothing is prettier, in my opinion, than a patriotic scene!

Charlie's Magical 3rd Princess Party

What an amazing weekend! We celebrated Charlie's 3rd birthday with a magical princess party. Our family and friends came - it was SO special. I am so very thankful for the wonderful people in our lives that came out to celebrate Charlie. Decorating for her princess party was one of my most favorite themes to decorate for. The hardest part of decorating for her party was stopping because I felt like I could keep decorating forever! Today, I am sharing all of the details of her party, plus links so that you can have a beautiful princess party of your own.

Father's Day Gift Guide

Father's Day is around the corner so I am rounding up a list of gifts for dad to help you with your Father's Day shopping! Below are some of my favorite gifts this season for dads.
I first saw these freezing beer glasses during the recent Frontgate sale and I knew I had to save them for Father's Day. These would be perfect for the dad who loves beer! Pair them with a case of beer and it would be so cute!

If your dad is anything like my dad, he is an outdoorsman who likes to cook over the fire. I thought cooking popcorn over the fire would be so much fun. I ordered these for all the dad's in my family this year.

Here is another option for cooking over the fire- a pancake pan! How fun would it be for grandpa to cook pancakes over the fire with the grandkids?

My husband has been asking for a game of horseshoes for our backyard and I think I am going to get this one. This is perfect for the dad who loves to be outside.

I recently purchased these sneakers for my dad's birthday and he loves them. They are classic and stylish, also super comfortable.

This game would be perfect for the dad who likes to tailgate.

For Christmas, I purchased a few of these Tie Bar kits for the men in my family and they were a hit. They include a monogrammed pocket square and coordinating socks and tie. Its a great deal for what you get! Perfect for the stylish dad who likes to dress up.

Anything Apple is a given when it comes to gifts, but I especially love the Air Pods for a gift. My husband likes to stay up late watching TV, while  I like to fall asleep early. He will wear his Air Pods to watch TV so I can sleep!

Another gift for the outdoorsman. These fireplace glove would be perfect paired with the log carrier listed below.

Since I am a Metro-Detroiter, I have to support Shinola. I especially love the color of the face on this watch.

This leather log carrier is a great gift for the outdoorsman. It goes perfectly with the fireplace gloves listed above.

For the dad who loves to golf, this would be a great gift to keep his golf stuff organized in storage.
